TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BELLEVUE FOODIE GETAWAY SWEEPSTAKES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. SPONSORSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY
The Bellevue Foodie Getaway Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored and administered solely by Visit Bellevue Washington, 11100 NE 6th Street, Bellevue, WA 98004 (“Sponsor”).
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the continental United States who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, and directors of Visit Bellevue Washington, its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and any individuals or entities directly involved in the administration or fulfillment of the Sweepstakes, as well as their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members, are not eligible to enter or win.
Alaska Airlines, AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue/Downtown, and Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi are not sponsors or administrators of this Sweepstakes and are not responsible for its administration, winner selection, or fulfillment except to the extent they separately provide goods or services purchased or arranged by Sponsor.
The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins on September 25, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends on December 28, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
Entries submitted before or after the Sweepstakes Period will not be eligible. Sponsor’s computer system shall be the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes.
3. HOW TO ENTER
During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible participants must subscribe to Visit Bellevue Washington’s Aspire email newsletter through the designated Sweepstakes entry form and complete the double opt-in confirmation process sent to the email address provided at the time of entry.
An entrant will not be considered officially entered until the double opt-in process has been successfully completed.
Limit one (1) entry per person and per email address during the Sweepstakes Period. No purchase or payment of any kind is required to enter or win.
The use of automated systems, bots, scripts, macros, agencies, entry services, artificial or fraudulent accounts, or other automated methods to enter is prohibited.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry or entrant that Sponsor reasonably believes violates these Official Rules; contains false or misleading information; was generated through automated or fraudulent means; attempts to circumvent the one-entry limitation; interferes with the administration or integrity of the Sweepstakes; or otherwise constitutes fraudulent, abusive, or disruptive conduct.
4. GRAND PRIZE
One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded by Visit Bellevue Washington and will consist of the following goods and services purchased or arranged by Sponsor:
Alaska Airlines Gift Card
One (1) $500 Alaska Airlines gift card.
The gift card is subject to Alaska Airlines’ applicable terms, conditions, restrictions, expiration policies, and redemption requirements.
The $500 gift card does not constitute a guarantee that the entire cost of airfare or travel will be covered. Any airfare, taxes, fees, baggage charges, seat-selection fees, upgrades, transportation costs, or other travel expenses exceeding the value of the gift card are the sole responsibility of the winner.
AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue/Downtown
One (1) two-night stay at AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue/Downtown in a standard guest room, subject to availability, applicable blackout dates, advance reservation requirements, expiration dates, and other hotel restrictions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the hotel prize includes only the accommodations specifically provided as part of the prize.
The winner is solely responsible for all additional charges and expenses incurred during the stay, including but not limited to additional nights, room upgrades, room service, food and beverages, parking, gratuities, incidental charges, damages to the hotel room or property, telephone, entertainment, or other guest charges, and any other expense not expressly included in the prize.
The hotel may require a valid credit or debit card at check-in to cover incidental charges.
Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi
One (1) gift card or dining certificate for dinner at Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi, with an approximate retail value of $200.
The dining prize is subject to availability and the restaurant’s applicable reservation requirements, blackout dates, expiration dates, gift card or certificate terms, and other restrictions.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, gratuity, alcoholic beverages, transportation, additional food or beverage charges exceeding the value of the gift card or certificate, and other incidental expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner.
5. APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE AND PRIZE CONDITIONS
The total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $1300.00.
Actual value may vary depending on hotel rates, dining costs, travel dates, and other factors. No difference between the stated ARV and actual value will be awarded.
Except where otherwise required by law, the prize is non-transferable and may not be assigned or sold; no cash substitution or cash redemption will be provided by Sponsor; Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize or prize component with one of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control; all prize components are subject to the applicable third-party provider’s terms, restrictions, availability, expiration dates, blackout dates, and policies; lost, stolen, damaged, or expired gift cards, certificates, or vouchers will not be replaced by Sponsor except at Sponsor’s sole discretion; and Sponsor does not guarantee availability of any particular hotel dates, airline itinerary, dining reservation, or other travel arrangement.
Failure to redeem or use any portion of the prize before an applicable expiration date will result in forfeiture of that portion of the prize without compensation or substitution.
6. TRAVEL AND ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
Except for those items expressly identified as part of the Grand Prize, all travel and personal expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner, including but not limited to airfare exceeding the $500 Alaska Airlines gift card, baggage fees, seat-selection fees, airline upgrades, ground transportation, airport parking, meals and beverages not included in the prize, gratuities, hotel incidentals, additional hotel nights, travel insurance, entertainment, personal expenses, and any other expense not expressly identified as included.
The winner is responsible for obtaining all identification and documentation necessary for travel.
Sponsor is not responsible for airline cancellations or delays, missed connections, weather conditions, hotel availability, restaurant closures or reservation availability, transportation disruptions, or other circumstances outside Sponsor’s reasonable control.
7. WINNER SELECTION AND ODDS
One (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
The drawing will take place on or about December 29, 2026.
Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.
Sponsor’s decisions regarding eligibility, administration, and winner selection are final and binding to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION
The potential winner will be notified using the email address and/or telephone number provided in connection with the Sweepstakes entry.
The potential winner may be required to complete, sign, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release and any other reasonably required documentation within five (5) days of notification.
Sponsor may require proof of identity, age, residency, or other information necessary to confirm eligibility.
If the potential winner cannot be contacted; fails to respond within the required period; fails to timely execute required documents; is found to be ineligible; declines the prize; or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner may be disqualified and the prize forfeited. Sponsor may select an alternate winner through another random drawing.
A potential winner is not an official winner until Sponsor has verified eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.
9. TAXES
The winner is solely responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes associated with receipt and use of the prize.
Sponsor will comply with applicable tax-reporting requirements and may require the winner to provide a completed IRS Form W-9 or other tax documentation before awarding the prize.
If required by law, the winner may receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the reportable value of the prize.
10. RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION
By participating, each entrant agrees, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to release, discharge, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Visit Bellevue Washington, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, contractors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, injuries, or causes of action arising out of or relating to participation in the Sweepstakes; acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or inability to use any prize; travel undertaken in connection with the prize; participation in any prize-related activity; personal injury, death, or property damage; violation of these Official Rules; or violation of applicable law.
Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to waive any right or liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
11. INDEPENDENT THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS
Entrants and the winner acknowledge that goods and services included in the prize package may be supplied by independent third-party businesses.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sponsor is not responsible for the acts, omissions, policies, availability, cancellations, delays, service interruptions, quality of services, or other actions of Alaska Airlines, AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue/Downtown, Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi, or any other independent third-party provider.
Use of any third-party goods or services remains subject to the applicable provider’s standard terms, conditions, policies, and restrictions.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, misdirected, or corrupted entries; technical failures of any kind; malfunctioning computers, servers, networks, websites, software, telecommunications equipment, or email systems; unauthorized human intervention; incorrect or inaccurate Sweepstakes information; communications that are undeliverable because of spam filters, inactive accounts, privacy settings, or other circumstances; travel delays, cancellations, weather conditions, governmental restrictions, labor disputes, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control; or injury or damage arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, entrants waive any right to claim punitive, consequential, special, incidental, indirect, or exemplary damages.
13. PUBLICITY RELEASE
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes the winner’s permission for Visit Bellevue Washington and its authorized representatives to use the winner’s name, city and state of residence, photograph, likeness, voice, statements, and biographical information in connection with announcing and promoting the Sweepstakes and its winner.
Such use may occur through Sponsor’s website, social media channels, email communications, press materials, advertising, or other promotional media without additional compensation, notice, review, or approval.
14. GENERAL CONDITIONS
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, unauthorized intervention, force majeure, or any other factor outside Sponsor’s reasonable control affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of the Sweepstakes.
If the Sweepstakes is terminated before the stated end date, Sponsor may, in its discretion, award the prize through a random drawing from among eligible, non-suspect entries received before the event giving rise to the termination.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify and, where appropriate, seek damages from any individual who tampers with the Sweepstakes, violates these Official Rules, or acts fraudulently or disruptively.
Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If any provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
15. PRIVACY AND EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION
Information submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes will be used to administer the Sweepstakes and in accordance with Visit Bellevue Washington’s applicable privacy practices.
Entry requires subscription to Visit Bellevue’s Aspire newsletter and successful completion of the double opt-in process.
Participants may subsequently manage their email preferences or unsubscribe using the instructions contained in Aspire communications. Unsubscribing after a valid entry has been completed will not, by itself, invalidate an otherwise eligible entry unless otherwise required by applicable law.
16. GOVERNING LAW
The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
17. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Except where prohibited by law, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules shall be resolved individually and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.
Any such dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, with arbitration taking place in King County, Washington, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
The arbitration shall be conducted in English before a single arbitrator, and judgment upon the arbitrator’s award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
18. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between Sponsor and entrants concerning the Sweepstakes and supersede any prior or contemporaneous representations, communications, or understandings concerning the Sweepstakes.
If there is any discrepancy or inconsistency between promotional materials and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall control.
19. WINNER LIST
To request the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope within thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the Sweepstakes to:
