USA Today Bellevue 10Best Summer Travel Destination

Bellevue, Washington has been named one of the Best Summer Travel Destinations in the 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice travel awards, marking the city’s growing reputation as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most vibrant getaway destinations.

“Being named one of USA TODAY 10Best’s top summer escapes is an incredible honor and a meaningful reflection of Bellevue’s growing reputation as the Pacific Northwest’s premier destination,” said Brad Jones, Executive Director of Visit Bellevue. “From waterfront adventures and outdoor recreation to exceptional dining, arts and culture, Bellevue offers visitors everything they’re looking for in a summer getaway, all within a vibrant, safe and walkable downtown.”

The USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards highlight top destinations and experiences across the country, with nominees selected by a panel of travel experts and editors before being voted on by the public over a four-week online voting period.

The recognition comes at a milestone moment for Bellevue as the city prepares for one of its most exciting summer seasons yet. With FIFA World Cup matches taking place across Lake Washington in Seattle, Bellevue is welcoming visitors from around the world as a premier home base for exploring the region for the soccer cup and beyond. The city’s new light rail connection offers direct access to downtown Seattle in approximately 22 minutes, creating a seamless, car-free experience for travelers visiting iconic landmarks or attending matches, concerts and sporting events, while enjoying Bellevue’s walkable downtown, hotels, restaurants, and nightlife.

Bellevue’s summer calendar is filled with signature experiences and celebrations, including Bellevue Family 4th’s celebration of America 250, Bellevue Berry WeekBellevue Crab Week, the Bellevue Farmers Market and the return of the Bellevue Arts Fair. Visitors can also enjoy Bellevue’s lush park and water sports or excursions throughout the season. Bellevue is home to more than 2,700 acres of parks and open space woven between two lakes, creating endless ways to enjoy summer outdoors. Bellevue Adventures, the city’s zip tour and aerial course in the trees, is also currently nominated for a USA TODAY Readers’ Choice award for Best Aerial Adventure Park

Bellevue’s growing national profile continues beyond tourism recognition. Earlier this year, Bellevue was also named “Most Sustainable and Scenic City” in the Good Housekeeping family travel awards, highlighting Bellevue’s unique balance of urban sophistication, natural beauty and environmental stewardship.
